Abstract
Chronic IIP is a rare disease in childhood with
significant management problems for the paediatrician.
Several therapeutic modalities are available
but most of them are not very applicable to us
either due to financial constraints or to risks
involved. We have shown that high dose pulsed
dexamethasone therapy is effective in the treatment
of chronic ITP in children but the numbers
involved in our study are too small to draw any
firm conclusions.
